Common Questions

Answers To Your RO Questions.

What does a typical RO system remove from water?

A typical RO system removes dissolved solids, heavy metals, chlorine, and many other impurities by pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane, leaving behind clean, low-TDS drinking water.

Filtering (RO/UV/UF) targets contaminants and improves taste and safety, while softening targets hardness that causes scaling. A water test during the free site visit confirms whether softening is also needed.

Consider your water source and TDS level, household water usage, and available space. HomeCare RO’s free water test helps match the right system.

Most packaged drinking water sold in India is also purified using RO, UV or similar filtration. A home RO system gives the same standard of purified water on tap, without recurring bottle costs.

What is regeneration?

Regeneration is the process a water softener uses to flush accumulated hardness minerals from its resin bed using a brine (salt) solution. RO systems use replaceable membranes and filters instead.

HomeCare RO stands behind every installation with after-sales support and prompt service if an issue comes up.

General health guidance suggests around 2 to 3 litres of water a day for most adults, though individual needs vary.

Most home RO systems need a filter and membrane check every 6 to 12 months depending on water quality and usage. HomeCare RO AMC plans schedule this automatically.
